Things that go bump in the night
The presentation basically describes what the FreeBSD Security Team is doing behind the scenes to handle security vulnerabilities in FreeBSD.
Today most computers are connected to some kind of network, so it is an important requirement for many users / administrators that the operating system and application programs are updated with regards to security vulnerabilities. The presentation will describe how the FreeBSD project handles security vulnerabilities in the base system and Ports Collection and a bit about how a user / administrator can keep up-to-date with regard to software fixes when using FreeBSD.
