BSDCan2010 - Final Release

BSDCan 2010
The Technical BSD Conference

Peter Hansteen

Peter is a Free Software Consultant, specializing in OpenBSD, network security and Keeping Things Running Safely, currently employed (since October 2008) by FreeCode AS, the free software consultancy.

After fiddling with computers for a while and spending way too much time in documentation (that again after finally giving up that early ambition to make living playing bass in a rock band, with stints cleaning floors in health care facilities, working as a tollboth attendant, as a secretary and a few other strange things along the way), Peter drifted into networking and free software, ending up with OpenBSD as the main platform and tool.

About the same time the Book of PF was originally written, he started contributing articles to various sources including BSD Magazine, and he occasionally chronicles the ups and downs (and sideways?) of a mainly OpenBSD sysadmin at http://bsdly.blogspot.com/.

A frequent lecturer on OpenBSD and FreeBSD topics with successful tutorials and lectures at conferences mainly in Europe and North America and various private sessions, with a popular online PF tutorial that has at last count (February 2010) seen more than 75,000 unique visitors.
