How Not To Build a Lights-Out Facility
This talk will present some of the issues that the FreeBSD team faced when building a new, lights-out, facility from scratch.
There are lessons to be learned both from success and failure. The installation of a new colo at New York Internet had aspects of both. This talk will focus on the lessons we learned during this process, including managing optimism, dealing with donations, and how much work it is fair to ask volunteers to do.
