Giuseppe Lettieri

Giuseppe Lettieri is a researcher and lecturer at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell'Informazione. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pisa in 2002. Most of his research has focused on the theoretical topic of Abstract Interpretation.

In the past few years he has contributed to the development and maintenance of the netmap framework for fast packet I/O, including the introduction of netmap pipes, a very fast IPC mechanism based on the netmap API, and the design of ptnetmap, a very fast virtual passthrough for virtual machines.
