Pedro Giffuni

Pedro is a Mechanical Engineer with a M. Sc. in Industrial Engineering. Since life as an engineer doesn't have sufficient challenges he also finds time to have fun in things where he is not supposed to know what he is doing, like computer sofware or Martial arts.

Pedro got involved with the BSDs, and in particular FreeBSD, by an early search in 1997 while wondering if the Internet was really a good place to get non-trivial software. After some years of playing with engineering/math ports he became a FreeBSD committer to work on ext2fs (which he doesn't use at all, of course) and is also an Apache OpenOffice committer.

Pedro is known to sneak code into or play with toolchains, Dtrace and filesystems, although no one (not even him) understands why.
