Vsevolod Stakhov

Vsevolod has become a ports committer in 2005 (by mentorship of perky@) and reworked the bsd.python.mk. He maintained openldap port and was the initial author of bsd.database.mk and bsd.tcl.mk.

Since March 2013 Vsevolod joined the pkg development team led by Baptiste Darousin. He implemented the incremental update of packages repository and wrote UCL configuration language used for pkg configuration and manifests.

During Google Summer of Code Vsevolod implemented the new solver for pkg based on SAT algorithm. This solver has been merged to the pkg master branch in December 2013 and will be available in the upcoming 1.3 release. New solver introduces advanced conflicts resolution logic and will help to implement various features in the pkg.

Currently, Vsevolod is a PhD student in the Computer Laboratory of University of Cambridge.
