How to build high performance PF and Websites with FreeBSD in the Cloud
FreeBSD is the great choice for many of the busiest web sites and networking and storage devices. Along with the development of cloud computing, how to bring FreeBSD workload to the cloud and achieve high performance in the cloud?
This talk uses Microsoft Azure as an example of the public cloud. It presents the work of one-click deploying website and PF scenarios with FreeBSD virtual machine in Azure, the performance tuning according to the infrastructure of Azure, such as virtual networking and the difficulties as well as best practices.
PF(Packet Filter) is a complete, full-featured firewall. Since FreeBSD 5.3, a ported version of OpenBSD's PF firewall has been included as an integrated part of the base system. How to use latest FreeBSD Integration Service (drivers for Hyper-V, virtualization platform of Microsoft) to achieve better performance?
