A By all means, yes, bring your laptop. WIFI will be available. It might be restrictive, so a VPN might be helpful. In recent years, ports 22, 80, 443, and 1194 were not blocked. Check that the power outlet has power if your battery is low. Some do not work.
A At RentABike Vélocation, which is a 10 minute walk from the conference venue. Please refer to the Google Map.
A Yes, there is a pool on campus. Looking at the map, the pool is in Montpetit Hall, two buildings east of the residence complex. Admission is $3.
Some of the hotels have pools, too - call and ask.
Q What happened to the forums? We used to have forums.
A Yes, we once hosted forums on this website, for the use of our attendees to ask questions, etc. In recent years, they received little use as people turned to social media to contact us. There were no posts in 2016 and 2017. As such, the forums were removed in October 2018.
Q Will the slides / video / streaming be available?
A Slides are available from the schedule after the speaker uploads them. Streaming should be available, check the home page for details. Recorded video will be available as soon as possible after the con, but can take weeks/months, as the A/V team is 100% volunteer, with day jobs and families that take priority.
Please follow us on social media and/or subscribe to our announce mailing list to keep up to date.
Q Why isn’t the streaming/video better?
A Our priority is, always has been, and always will be, the people at the conference. Video and streaming is done by volunteers who are passionate about their duties. We provide their results for free.
